Making WIC more accessible through technology

Follow our demonstration project with Montana WIC

Nava envisions a future where digital tools make it easier for families to receive benefits through the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). With the support of Schmidt Futures, we are working with the state of Montana to launch a demonstration project aimed at easing WIC access through modernization. Follow along as we share what we learn with the larger WIC community.

The WIC Technology Resource Group

The WIC Technology Resource Group formed in 2021 as a partnership between the National WIC Association (NWA) and Nava, a government technology consultancy and public benefit corporation, with contributions from Code for America, a nonprofit focused on digital tools for government. The goal of this partnership is to leverage the deep expertise of the WIC community with modern technology practices to meet the WIC participants’ needs.
