Nava envisions a future where digital tools make it easier for families to receive benefits through the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). With the support of Schmidt Futures, we are working with the state of Montana to launch a demonstration project aimed at easing WIC access through modernization. Learning Sessions and office hours
The WIC Technology Resource Group is hosting learning sessions and office hours for WIC directors and staff interested in learning more about leveraging technology to meet WIC participants’ needs.
Learning sessions will include:

20 minute educational presentation by Nava engineers, designers, and product managers

40 minutes of open Q&A discussion, reflection prompts for thinking about how incorporate the education topic of the day into the reality of a WIC agency, and peer-to-peer sharing of best practices and lessons learned
Office hours will include:
- Open discussion with the audience on any questions they might have on modern design or software development

The WIC Technology Resource Group
The WIC Technology Resource Group formed in 2021 as a partnership between the National WIC Association (NWA) and Nava, a government technology consultancy and public benefit corporation, with contributions from Code for America, a nonprofit focused on digital tools for government. The goal of this partnership is to leverage the deep expertise of the WIC community with modern technology practices to meet the WIC participants’ needs.
