Our Nava Labs team developed and piloted a Form-Filling Assistant: a generative AI-powered “agentic” tool that autonomously navigates multiple databases and benefit portals and then completes application forms. Caseworkers can then review the applications, fill in missing information, and submit — spending less time re-entering the same data over and over and more time interacting with clients.
Together with our partners at Amplifi and the Riverside County Children & Families Commission, our shared goals are to significantly reduce administrative burden, free up caseworker time, and help more families receive the benefits they’re eligible for.
We recently wrapped up our pilot with Riverside County caseworkers, who used it to fill in applications with real families. We’re excited to share what we learned in the pilot!
