Nava wins new work helping to modernize Grants.gov

Nava will support the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to redesign Grants.gov, improving the accessibility and usability of the federal grantmaking experience.

Nava is excited to partner with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and prime contractor MicroHealth, LLC to improve the accessibility and usability of the federal grant-making process. Grants.gov is the front door for grants across the federal government and disburses more than $500 billion in grants every year.

Nava is a public benefit corporation on a mission to make government services simple, effective, and accessible to all. We will use an API-first strategy to personalize the experience for applicants and partner agencies. Our work will span multiple disciplines including data engineering, user research, and more.

“Nava is honored to work with Health and Human Services to make Grants.gov accessible to everyone, from the time someone first encounters the website to when they submit an application to post-award reporting,” said Rohan Bhobe, Nava’s CEO. “By leveraging human-centered design and agile development practices, we’ll work to make it easier for people to find and apply for Grants.gov’s 1,000+ federal grant programs.”

Nava has deep experience modernizing digital services for some of the largest federal and state agencies. Our founders were brought in to help rescue HealthCare.gov after its troubled launch. Since then, we’ve helped tens of millions of beneficiaries access critical services, including simplifying user-facing Medicare, helping modernize ADA.gov alongside federal partners, and helping Veterans access their benefits faster
