Focus-Nava JV I LLC — a joint venture between Nava PBC and Focus Consulting — is excited to announce the award of the U.S. Department of Education (ED) Automated Testing Teams (ATT) contract, a five-year contract to support the Financial Student Aid (FSA) application process. We’ll work to establish an FSA-wide ATT, a team that tests software automatically before updates go live. That means fewer defects reaching the people who rely on FSA’s systems, and improvements that reach them faster.
Nava is a public benefit corporation on a mission to make government services work better for the people they’re meant to serve. Nava has been trusted by the ED since 2025 to work on high-stakes projects that have impacted millions. Nava is eager to broaden this partnership with new enhanced capabilities and tools.

Nava has a history of delivering results for state and federal agencies, particularly in education. In 2026, Nava is completing the award process for a contract to modernize the student aid processing platform for the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation. Most recently, Focus-Nava JV I LLC supported the 2026-27 FAFSA® launch, which opened earlier than in any prior cycle in the program's history. Through the acquisition of Beam, Nava also serves hundreds of higher education partners, including the Washington Student Achievement Council and the Minnesota State University System.
