Nava is excited to announce we won a contract with the State of Washington’s Employment Security Department (ESD) to support their unemployment insurance (UI) program. We’ll work with the agency to analyze Washington’s current UI technology and produce a modernization roadmap.

We’ve been trusted by the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL), the State of New Jersey, and the State of California to work on high-stakes UI projects that serve millions. We’re excited to expand our experience with Washington.

Nava has deep experience working on federal and state UI projects. Most recently, we won a contract with the Illinois Department of Employment Security to improve the state’s UI claimant portal and application. We partnered with New Jersey to launch a new claimant portal that helps 90% of claimants submit their application the same day they start it. During the pandemic, we helped Californians access UI benefits by working with the state to launch a UI certification tool in just six weeks. And with USDOL, we worked on nationally published UI reports and resources that help states improve their UI programs.
